About

Meet Kate

I am a trauma integration coach and educator who understands firsthand the challenges of overcoming trauma. Holding an ICF Certification in transformative coaching, I work with clients one-on-one, conduct workshops, and offer talks on the impact of trauma in our lives.

My journey to recovery has been a winding one, marked by trials and tribulations that have ultimately shaped my approach to coaching. Throughout my life, I have struggled with mental health, addictions, sexual trauma, eating disorders, toxic relationships, and emotional dysregulation. I have been diagnosed and misdiagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, neurodivergence, c-PTSD, PTSD, clinical depression and high-functioning anxiety. Raised in an environment where mental health was stigmatised, I grappled with a myriad of issues from an early age.

Through therapy, coaching, and education, I discovered that trauma was the root cause of the majority of the issues I faced. This prompted me to pursue a career change and become a coach and educator specialising in trauma integration. This is when my own recovery accelerated. By processing my unresolved trauma and focusing on the mind-body connection, I managed to shift out of victim and survival mode, nurture my response flexibility, and replace maladaptive behaviours with life-affirming actions. Now, through my work, I strive to help women reconnect with their true selves, break free from the shackles of trauma, and build lives filled with purpose and fulfilment.

I acknowledge that we can't erase past experiences or completely change societal norms, but by understanding and integrating our trauma, we can change ourselves and the course of our future.

What sets me apart is my dedication to bringing compassion, respect, acceptance, healing, and connection into my work. This allows you to access your inner truth and wisdom in the present moment, freeing yourself from self-generated suffering caused by maladaptive behaviours.

Central to my approach is assisting you in identifying the unconscious narratives you tell yourself, what those beliefs are, understanding their origins, and supporting you in exploring the potential of letting go of those narratives. This allows you to cultivate self-awareness, embrace self-acceptance, and effectuate lasting positive change through action.

I understand the profound impact that trauma can have on individuals and their relationships. With deep empathy and sensitivity, I create a safe and nurturing environment for healing and growth.

My coaching methodology is firmly rooted in evidence-based techniques and principles. I draw from Compassionate Inquiry®, the Polyvagal Theory, somatic experiencing, CBT, positive psychology, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems and goal-setting strategies. I meld this foundation with intuitive guidance and attentive listening, ensuring your unique needs are addressed while honouring your journey towards recovery and resilience.

I am continuously building on my knowledge and training. I am currently completing a year-long, graduate-level qualification in Compassionate Inquiry®, “a psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté that reveals what lies beneath the appearance we present to the world.”
